Knights and Day: Exploring the Knights Tribe in M11 Standard

The recent release of the core set Magic 2011 offered us new options for a tribe-type deck. Vampires replaced its lord Nocturnus with a captivating one, though I still go for the first one as evation is much preferred rather than permanent +1/+1 pump. The new set also offered a lord, Knight Exemplar, for the new tribe for white. The powerful ability of giving indestructibility to its kins (as well as the +1/+1 boost) gave me an idea of checking the rest of the Knights in the current Standard format. Read More »
Tournament Report – A Near Death Experience

It’s always my dream to have byes during Grand Prix events like the pro does. Having 3 byes is a big advantage since you only have to win 3 games to make it into day two and have a chance for the money finish as well as get the opportunity to battle with the pros in round 4. That reminds me of my recent Grand Prix experience last March held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia wherein it was very exhausting to duel 8 straight rounds in Day 1. It was the best experience for me being able to make it to day 2 despite not getting the most coveted money finish (Top 64). Read More »
